It has been a "win-win" arrangement. Networking by Saniblakas Foundation among other NGOs and even commercial entities, as well as their respective publications brought very informative and insightful materials to the daily features page of this paper, called Kabayan, free of charge. On the other hand, the arrangement has benefitted the Foundation with the opportunity to test the waters for the eventual full-blown launching of Saniblakas InfoShare as it has evolved from the initial concept of the "People’s NewsCenter" service listed in our first brochure.
Full-time staffing, a website and more networking among NGO newsmakers and media outlets would surely go a long way in mounting and expanding Saniblakas InfoShare to promote "synergism in action." What we have been doing so far has been to "test the waters."
The website is about to be mounted on the Internet’s world-wide web. Full-time staffing (with a minimum of one managing editor) will have to depend on funding support or institutional sponsorship, since this cannot be on "T.Y."-volunteerism basis and we cannot hope to gain much revenue from this service from "clients" whether from the sources’ side or the users’ side. If these factors are present, more networking can follow and can be followed up, and the enterprise can be expected to "snowball."
